Writers converge at Winter Words

Agents, editors and authors gathered at Fairfield Public Library on Saturday for the second Winter Words writers conference to share their experiences and advice with writers from all over the county.
"This is a celebration of the relationship between libraries and writers," said Karen Ronald, deputy town librarian and organizer of the conference.
The day-long conference included a keynote presentation by memoirist and Quill Award finalist Da Chen, author of "Colors of the Mountain" and "Brothers" and 12 panels featuring published authors and industry insiders. Topics addressed included getting an agent, finding inspiration in headlines, writing a series, children's/young adult books, memoirs and more......
